My Review
I've had this book for awhile and I never thought of reading it until now. I have watches The Vampire Diaries on T.V, so I thought, why not. I am going to give examples of how the T.V. show and book are alike and different.
Stefan, the new guy, gets in the good graces with Elena. The only problem is that Elena looks identical to Stefan's love, Katherine, so it is hard to look at Elena without seeing Katherine. Stefan realizes Stefan is hiding something and won't stop until she finds out what it is. Elena would do anything for Stefan, but this secret is pulling them apart. What will Elena discover and how will it affect Stefan and Elena's relationship?
I loved the book, especially how dark and mysterious it was. It was kind of weird how in the book Katherine sounds so ill and fragile. The only thing I disliked was how different the book and the T.V. show are.
Here are a few examples of how the show and book differ:
- In the book, Elena is blonde and snotty. On the show Elena is a Brunette and is kind-hearted.
- In the book, Meredith is one of Elena's best friends. On the show Elena doesn't even have a friend named Meredith.
- The book is darker and spookier than the show.
