Book Review: Heartbound

Synopsis

Petyr has never found it necessary to consider the humans as anything more than distant, inferior beings-until now. They are the cause of the fatal disease that has plagued his realm, taking the lives of two many of his kind. As a future leader of a realm in peril, Petyr must find a way to resist and cure the affliction. He must enter the unfamiliar realm, appear to be an ordinary eighteen-year-old human, observe, and learn.

However, things don't exactly go according to plan. Instead of embarking singe-mindedly on his sober mission, Petyr meets an 18-year-old girl who does things to his emotions that he can't quite fathom or control. Petyr is falling in love, and he almost forgets the gravity his choices have on his entire world. Despite the risk it poses to his life and hers, he wants to know her, and he wants her to know him- and his world.
My Review

This book is written by P.I. Alltraine and it is 171 pages long.

Petyr has spent all of his life protecting the Cortas, until now. Petyr and a few other members were sent to Earth to discover why humans had an effect on them. Just when their mission can't get any worse, Petyr meets her. Petyr has a new mission now. To get to know this human that makes him feel this way. Love is a strong thing and Petyr now knows that. He is in love with a human, but he can not show his true identity to her without falling for the forbidden. Is their love to be? What other dangers are humans to the Cortas?

This book was very interesting. The beginning was pretty slow, but it started to progress later in the book. The author did a great job of showing their abilities and describing their inner cores. There were a lot of scientific words in it and a sweet romance. The "Forbidden" was confusing, but it was starting to clear toward the end. I could not find it on Barnes and Noble, so I'm sorry.
